Thanksgiving for a Child, Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals
We offer services of Thanksgiving for the Birth of a Child, and also Baptism Services. these take place during the main 11.00am Sunday Services. Anyone considering baptism for themselves or their child is encouraged to come on the Alpha course - a wonderful opportunity to think through the Christian faith. For more information on being baptised at St Jude's, please contact the church office or come to a Sunday service and speak to one of the team.
Anyone who lives in the parish, or is a regular worshipper at St
Jude's, and has not previously been married can marry at the church. We
find that many couples appreciate the friendly, flexible approach we
take.
Funerals, which are also services of Thanksgiving for
the life of the person who has recently died, can be held at the church
before moving on to the cemetery or crematorium.
Please contact the or the for information.
St Jude's Commitment to the Environment and Fair Trade
On the first Sunday of the month after each of our morning services we have a Traidcraft stall which sells fair-trade products such as tea, coffee, cereals, cards and crafts. We also have a mini-recycling centre in our car park where you can dispose of paper, cardboard and bottles safely and help the environment at the same time.
