Sunday Services
9.15am
A traditional service with hymns accompanied by the organ. There is
Holy Communion each week, except for the third Sunday each month, when
there is Morning Prayer (Common Worship). Services using the book of
Common Prayer (BCP) are held twice monthly.
Tea and coffee is served after the service in the hall.
11.00am
This service is for all ages. A worship team of musicians and singers lead the worship with fresh and contemporary Christian songs. The first Sunday of each month is a Family Worship service where adults and children join in the service. On other weeks, the children and young people leave the church after about ten minutes for their teaching groups in the halls:
- A creche for under twos
- Wobblers group for two to three year olds
- Scramblers for three to five year olds
- Climbers for five to eight year olds
- Explorers for eight to eleven year olds
- Pathfinders for eleven to fourteen year olds
The groups use approved teaching resources to help children understand the Bible and have their own relationship with Jesus.
Holy
Communion is celebrated on the third Sunday of each month. We welcome
all who are already committed Christians and who take communion in the
Church of England or any other Christian church. If this does not apply
to you, or you prefer not to receive Communion, then you are welcome to
come forward for a blessing.
Following the service, there are opportunities to chat with others over tea and coffee or at our occasional Sunday lunches.
6.30pm
This is an informal and relaxed "cafe style" service in the small hall. The emphasis is on praise and moving forward into new ways of worship. We use modern songs with audio-visual accompaniment. There is a lot of scope for taking part (if you want to) as we share our experiences of God's goodness. We have communion once a month. We have a 'cafe style' service in the small hall on the final Sunday of each month.
