Meet Ade Perham

Ade and Jen Perham

Hello and welcome to the YOUTH part of our website. My name is Ade and I’ve recently joined St Jude’s (to be their youth worker) along with my wife Jen. We’re both really excited to be here in Nottingham and can’t wait to see what God has got in store for us in this great neck of the woods! You can email at youth@stjudes-mapperley.org.uk.

We thought you may find it helpful to know a bit about us. I grew up in Stafford and Jen enjoyed her childhood in a small village near to Yeovil in Somerset, before seeing the light and moving to Stafford for her high school years! After completing my A-Levels, I took a gap year and went to Canada to work for a Christian missions team called LifeFORCE. Upon arriving back home, I went to university at MCYM and got up to lots of mischief as a church youth worker for three years.

I met Jen in my 2nd year of uni and she was a few months off completing her A-Levels when we began dating. She then went to uni in Preston, where I joined her after completing my degree. We spent 2 years together up there, seeking God on what he had planned for us and getting used to freezing cold weather! On Friday 4th September of this year, Jen and I got married after dating for over 3 and a half years – we felt that if we could put up with each other for that long, another 60 years wouldn’t do us any harm!

It never ceases to amaze me how God’s plans are always better than ours – the last few years have certainly been a real adventure! We’re now embarking on a new adventure and we hope and pray that you will join us in seeking God and becoming people like those we read about in the Bible – courageous like David, prophetic like Paul, faithful like Esther, and Holy Spirit-filled ambassadors for Christ Jesus and the life-changing Gospel.

If you go to high school and are between the ages of 11 and 18, we’ve got a few services and clubs currently being run at St Jude’s with the possibility of a few more being set up in the next few months...

  • Morning Worship (Sundays, 11am – 12pm for all ages)
  • Path Finders (Sundays, 11am – 12pm for 11-15 year olds)
  • Immersed (Sundays, 5pm – 6:30pm for 15-18 year olds)
  • Evening Service (Sundays, 6:30pm – 8pm for all ages)
  • Youth Club (Wednesdays, 7:30pm – 9pm for 11-18 year olds)
  • Witness Group (Thursdays, 6pm – 7:30pm for 11-15 year olds)

Please come along to any of these groups (we really are quite normal) and we may even be able to offer you a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit, as well as a great time of fun and craze-filled activities! Have a great day!

God bless, Ade
